Welcome to Harmony or Havoc: The AI Music Crisis of 2046 Futuristic Crisis Committee at RIDGEMUNC V. Decades of increasingly powerful artificial intelligence has transformed music from an art created by people into chaos taken over by advanced technology. AI artists now dominate charts, generate millions of songs daily, and rival human artists at alarming rates. Representatives from around the world, whether they be human artists, AI generated artists, music producers, or government officials, join to answer the pressing question at hand: who controls the future of music?

Hey! My name is Diya Gupta and I am honored to serve as your Futuristic Crisis Chair for RIDGEMUNC V! I am a senior at Marriotts Ridge High School, and I have been a part of Model UN since freshman year. I have had the privilege of attending several conferences over the years, as well as staff for RIDGEMUNC III and co-chair for RIDGEMUNC IV. Through my experiences, I’ve learned countless Model UN skills like negotiating with delegates, writing directives, and building connections with different people! I hope this committee gives you some real insight on how to succeed as a delegate, while still being one of the most fun crises you’ll come across! I can’t wait for a great day of debate and seeing what you bring to this committee!

Hi! My name is Malvika Dhond and I am honored to serve as your Co-Chair for this Futuristic Crisis at RIDGEMUNC V! I am currently a senior at Marriotts Ridge High School, and I have been an active Model UN member since my freshman year. Over the past four years, I have had the incredible opportunity to attend numerous Model UN conferences in the DMV area. At these conferences, I have connected with delegates from across the region, developed new skills in argumentation and diplomacy, and learned so much more about international policy and global affairs! I hope you have as much fun participating in this committee as I did curating it, and I look forward to seeing your creativity, collaboration, and success!
