Futuristic Crisis: Time Embargo 2125

Welcome to 2125. Now in Washington DC, the world once familiar has shattered. History once known is now a paradox tapestry. The future here is an unsure mystery, even to the best of foresight analysts. 100 years ago, the proliferation of time travel created a time warp, disrupting the past, present, and future. This committee consists of representatives of the past, present, and future; the best group of individuals ever brought together by the UN to remedy this nature-defying problem. Acting as representatives to an underground committee called together to decipher the impending disaster of a time-travel plan leak from a mysterious Agency 67. The consequences are already eerie and surreal: Albert Einstein walking on Miami Beach, Gandhi suddenly eradicating corruption on Earth with a single address, Marie Curie developing a new invisibility element, and Elon Musk IV seen playing with dinosaurs. With Agency 67 enabling ruling countries, companies, and individuals to purchase their product and change history, the mission is to stop a worldwide disaster and resolve these deadly paradoxes. Collaboration among fellow delegates is vital to preserve history and prevent a future dictated by a single, malicious force, because the alternative is that all of society will cease to exist as a paradox. Find Agency 67.

Chair

Hi! I’m Satwik Kanaparthi, the chair for this committee. I’m a senior at Marriotts Ridge and the director of operations for the club. Having joined Model UN in my Freshman year, I loved it ever since! From having 3 am conversations about MUN pick-up lines at overnight conferences, to addressing some of the biggest topics in committee; MUN is truly an all-in-one experience. Having events like RidgeMUNC with great people, food, and the opportunity to wear a suit is what builds memories. I love crises because it enables people to take risks with their creativity. I am excited to see where this crisis takes us!

Co-Chair

Hi! I’m Ruchit Kuncha, the co-chair for this committee. I’m a junior at Marriotts Ridge and a long time member of Model UN. I first joined in my Freshman year and have enjoyed all of my experiences with Model UN. My favorite Model UN memory was not sleeping the entire night during UMD MUN and having to buy a celsius to stay awake during committee. I love participating in crises as it allows people in committee to engage with each other and create real time solutions to problems that arise. I can't wait to see the time changing solutions.
