Genetic Engineering
Welcome to the United Nations Education, Scientific, and Cultural Organization General Assembly on the implications of genetic engineering! Throughout time the restrictions, applications, regulations, and policies on Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) have changed. The extent to which GMO products perpetuate into our daily lives increasingly grows every day. In this committee, you will be tasked to come up with a peaceful resolution that addresses the legality, morality, and ethicality of GMOs in our society and daily lives. We look forward to seeing how you strategize and collaborate to arrive at a peaceful resolution.

Chair
My name is Trijal Reddy Pinninti, and I am your chair for The United Nations Economic and Social Council on the implications of genetic engineering! I’ve participated in Model United Nations since middle school. Among the conferences I’ve attended are the NAIMUN, CHSMUNC, and UMDMUNC, and I’m super excited to be your chair for this committee!
Co-Chair
Welcome delegates! My name is Saloni Patel and I am a senior at Marriotts Ridge High School. I joined Model UN my sophomore year and have grown to love it tremendously. Since joining, I have attended and acted as staff for numerous conferences, some of which include NAIMUN, RIDGEMUNC, and HEBMUNC. Model UN has allowed me to strengthen my public speaking skills, meet new people, and address important global issues. I am excited to be your co-chair and to see what you have to offer to this committee.
