Fictional Crisis: Inside Out
Joy. Sadness. Disgust. Fear. Anger. For many years, Riley's emotions have partnered up to help her through childhood providing laughter, lessons, and core memories. Now, as the new emotions of Anxiety, Envy, Embarrassment, Ennui, and other emotions enter into Riley's inner world, she has begun the next phase of her life, High School! And as Homecoming gets closer, we must face the wonderful challenge of both Jordan and Chad asking Riley to Homecoming! Her inner world is alive with debates, discussing her future plans! The Council of Emotions has to rally together to negotiate balancing self-image, social pressure, and real connection so that Riley makes the best decision to bring her ultimate pleasure. Join us on this journey to explore the emotional diplomacy to consider all options, avoid crash outs, and ultimately decide if Riley is going to Homecoming with Jordan, Chad, or all by herself!

Chair
Hey! My name is Srihith Velumuri, and I am honored to serve as your chair for the Fictional Crisis! I’m a Junior at Marriotts Ridge and the Treasurer for MRHS Model UN. I joined Model UN in my freshman year, and have learned so much and met many people along the way. While Model UN was intimidating at first, some of my best memories come from the unique committees I have debated in, like a mystery Ad-Hoc topic. I hope this one will be one of your favorites! As an ardent fan of Inside Out, I am excited to see how you delegates approach the crisis committee topics and I look forward to an amazing day of debate and diplomacy!
Co-Chair
Hi! My name is Diya Gupta and I am honored to serve as your Fictional Crisis co-chair. I am a junior at Marriotts Ridge High School, and have been a part of Model UN since freshman year. I have had the wonderful opportunity to attend several conferences in the past, as well as staff for RIDGEMUNC III. Through my experiences, I’ve learned countless Model UN skills like negotiating with delegates, writing papers, and having fun crises! I hope this committee gives you some real insight on how to serve a good delegate, while still being one of the most fun crises you’ll come across! I can’t wait to see how you turn this committee into your own inner Headquarters!
