Fictional Crisis: Despicable Me: Moon Madness
The Moon. The greatest heist of the century approaches, but the path will not be easy. Villains, organizations, and heroes from throughout the world have their own motives and plans. Between alliances, betrayals, and ulterior motives, the course of this mission could sway in any direction. The goal of this committee is for delegates to debate and determine the fate of the Moon while navigating the competing interests of the people that want to steal it, protect it, or use it for themselves. Through crisis updates, negotiations, and strategic decisions the fate of the Moon, and possibly the world, lies in your hands. Will the greatest heist of the century succeed, or will the Moon remain out of reach?

Chair
Hey! My name is Srihith Velumuri, and I am honored to serve as your chair for the Fictional Crisis! I’m a Senior at Marriotts Ridge and the Vice President for MRHS Model UN. I joined Model UN in my freshman year, and have learned so much and met many people along the way. While Model UN was intimidating at first, some of my best memories come from the unique committees I have debated in, like a mystery Ad-Hoc. As an ardent fan of everything Minions, I am excited to see how you delegates approach the crisis committee topics and I look forward to an amazing day of debate and diplomacy!
Co-Chair
Hi! My name is Aarav Gupta and I am honored to serve as your Fictional Crisis co-chair. I’m a Junior at Marriotts Ridge and the Logistic Coordinator for MRHS Model UN. I joined Model UN in my freshman year and I have loved every minute of it. I have had the wonderful opportunity to attend several conferences in the past, as well as staff for RIDGEMUNC IV. Through Model UN I have met countless new people, created many memories and have ameliorated my speaking, debating, and problem solving skills. Can’t wait to see how you approach the chaos of this crisis and maybe even get a little closer to pulling off the impossible!
